It seems that these impacts were being characteristic of 1 of four forms of moonquakes experts studied from ALSEP data. Some moonquakes originate deep below the surface on account of lunar tides, some are thermal quakes caused by the Solar thawing the frozen surface at the start of a new lunar day, and Other people are due to impacting meteors. a
